Priced Out: Documentary and Discussion, Tuesday, September 29, 7–8:30 pm.
 North Star Village invites everyone to a virtual showing of Priced Out, the award-winning documentary that explores the complexities and contradictions of gentrification in the Albina district of Portland. North Star Village member Anjala Ehelebe, producer of the documentary, will introduce the film and lead the discussion afterwards.

October 1 is United Nations International Day of Older Persons

This year marks the 75th anniversary of The United Nations and the 30th anniversary of the International Day of Older Persons. According the the UN, "Over the next three decades, the number of older persons worldwide is projected to more than double, reaching more than 1.5 billion persons in 2050. All regions will see an increase in the size of the older population between 2019 and 2050. Click here to read more.

Each year is commemorated with a special theme. This year's theme is “Pandemics: Do They Change How We Address Age and Ageing?”
