With the change in season, and easing of Lockdown restrictions, The Masque team is delighted to invite you to join us in our Spring Season 2020. A three weekend festival with facets on stage, offstage, online and even in the garden!
Though our full programming may take a few months to gear up to full force, we have been planning something special these past weeks - with no less than three premieres on the cards.
Kicking us off this coming Friday, 25 September, is the premiere of a brand new show by Godfrey Johnson, a light-hearted musical reflection of a deeply personal journey: Johnson InsanitIzed. [Seating is limited, so book now!] This is the first of 3 Premieres we're fortunate to host this month.
We're opening the doors in unusual ways too: The Muizenberg Community Garden found a home in the Masque Theatre Parking lot. On Sunday 27 September, you're invited to "Lush n Local" A visit to the food garden supporting CAN, and fascinating talks about herb spirals, edible 'weeds' and fynbos.
On Saturday 3 October we welcome kids and parents to a Matinee and Workshop at The Masque, thanks to Jungle Theatre. On Saturday 11 October ,we invite beginner actors to an introduction to the Masque in our New Actors workshop.
- If you live far away, or are needing to stay at home for a little longer: for the first time ever, we have one or two digital offerings of some Masque favourites so that you can join us in spirit from afar
