Have you tried CBD oil?

Sep 16, 2020 02:20 pm | Mary Beth Skylis

CBD oil is Federally legally across the United States if it is manufactured in an appropriate manner. As long as THC levels are below 0.03, the government supports the distribution of it. My Dad tried a few different types of CBD oil to see if it would help with issues like muscle stiffness and anxiety. He’s not convinced that it had much of an impact. Have you tired CBD oil? Did you notice a difference? Was there a specific kind of tincture that you used?

Lately I’ve been exchanging emails and phone calls with Dan Montano, CEO of Zhittya Genesis Medicine, Inc. Googled information on him is all over the map. I’m considering investing in this miracle drug his company offers which he seems to truly believe will cure PD following the results of animal studies. Human studies should begin in a few months, he says. If you know anything about him or his company, I’m all ears.

What’s the most effective exercise routine for PD?

Sep 16, 2020 05:45 am | Mary Beth Skylis

While exercise is shown to have positive impacts on everybody, exercise types are not created equal. Cardiovascular exercises, for instance, target different parts of the body than strength training. When it comes to Parkinson’s, I wonder if there are some exercises that would be particularly beneficial to patients. In your own experience, what is the most effective exercise routine for PD? Do you find that certain styles of exercise help more than others?

Sep 15, 2020 10:47 pm | Mary Beth Skylis

Parkinsons can be really difficult to diagnose because its symptoms can be misinterpreted. And sometimes PD symptoms look similar to symptoms from other diseases. When did you first start to suspect that you had Parkinsons? Did you know before your Doctor knew?

Do you have theories about why you have Parkinsons?

Sep 15, 2020 02:10 pm | Mary Beth Skylis

Science still can’t exactly say why some people develop Parkinsons and others don’t. But we’re starting to notice trends. In some cases, environmental factors seem to play a part in the development of the disease. In others, it seems like there could be a genetic predisposition (although there’s some debate about this idea). Do you have any theories about why you have Parkinsons?
