The Corona Virus lock down has stopped poor Indian families
from making a living!
|
|
The families work as day laborers, cycle rickshaw pullers, auto rickshaw drivers and construction workers. All these families live a hand to mouth life style and need daily employment to just put food on the family table. During the lock down the Holy Spirit quickened P.D. and made him aware of this great economic need in his neighborhood. These are people with a Hindu background who know nothing about our Jesus. They are sheep without a shepherd and live on the very edge of society. The P.D. family goal was to share the Gospel with these lost souls and as P.D. pondered this crisis; God revealed to him that the best way to reach these folks was through the distribution of food.

P.D. sent an email to his friends and ministry partners and shared with them this health and economic crisis. Corona Virus has created havoc within India; it is the second worst affected country in the world. Quickly, ministry partners responded with funding which gave the P.D. family the ability to purchase food for needy Indian families.
P.D. purchased rice, lentils, potatoes, onions, eggs, bread, cookies, and bananas. All food was divided into food packets for distribution. In the first distribution 97 neighborhood families received food. Due to the generosity of God’s people with additional financial donations P.D. was able to purchase more food and at the present time over 250 poor families have received food.
These neighborhood families received the food with great thanksgiving and joy. This act of Christ like love to the neighborhood families has been received with open hearts. Now that the P.D. family has assisted these dear people during their time of great need, we are asking the Lord to open the hearts of these families to the good news of the Gospel. Please, pray with the P.D. family, that these neighbors will be willing to receive Jesus as their Lord.
