PROTECTING YOUR BUSINESS’S
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Thursday, September 24, 2020
from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Join TechConnect West Virginia for an in-depth breakdown of the different types of intellectual property protection and how you can protect your business's assets through the use of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

The session will be led by Nick Stewart, an intellectual property attorney at Stites & Harbison. Mr. Stewart is a registered patent attorney and largely focuses his practice in patent preparation and prosecution. He is a West Virginia native and a graduate of Marshall University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biotechnology with an emphasis in physics, and the West Virginia University College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor and heavily focused his studies on intellectual property procurement, protection, and enforcement. Mr. Stewart regularly assists clients ranging from individual inventors to large-scale corporations in obtaining patent protection for their innovations in the mechanical, medical, and software fields in the U.S. and abroad.

This free event is made possible through the generous support of the U.S. Economic Development Administration and the State of West Virginia.
