SNSW COVID-19 Club & Area Activity Guidelines

Registration season is open!
Clubs are reminded that the 2020-21 registration season opened on
Monday 14 September 2020, which means that clubs are now able to set up their membership products for purchase and encourage their members to join and renew!

By now, your club Registrar and Secretary should have received an official 2020-21 Registrations email with ALL the information clubs need to set up their products and help members to register for the upcoming season.

If you have not received this information, please email admin@nsw.swimming.org.au as soon as possible.

Get on board with Learn2Swim Week 2020
and acquire new members

Learn2Swim Week is an initiative of Poolwerx, is supported by Laurie Lawrence’s Kids Alive do the Five and is promoted through an extensive retail and social media network. Swim Schools who participate will be supported with a comprehensive marketing and social media campaign, which last year proved to be the best way to inform parents about the program.

In 2019, Learn2Swim Week registered 415 schools and received over 6,000 lesson requests directly to the website, and over 60% of parents whose children received a free lesson during Learn2Swim Week enrolled their children in long-term lessons.

Interested clubs should register as soon as possible
to start taking bookings

Swim Central tips for clubs

Active Kids Voucher reminders

  • From a member’s perspective, their membership is active and approved as soon as the purchase has been completed.
    • Clubs still need to verify this purchase, though (via the Vouchers tile) at least 3 business days after the purchase is made.
  • Please inform your club members if the following applies to your club: If using Active Kids voucher(s) and the transaction totals to $0, Credit Card details must still be added and transaction ‘paid’, in order to successfully process (users always have the option to not save CC details).

Other membership

  • Volume Discounts cannot be applied when Purchase Orders are also used by the club.
  • Bug: We identified this week that membership products that are created and ‘published’, immediately publish into the Swim Central catalogue; i.e. it does not take into account any ‘Availability Start’ date that you may have set. Swimming Australia is looking to fix this bug soon, but in the meantime, if you wish to create your products early and then release them to members for purchase down the track, just ‘Save Draft’ instead of Publish, and then head back into the products’ ‘Availability’ space to publish it at the time you wish for it to be published for members to see/purchase.

Events

  • Is your club running a meet soon and already taking nominations? Remember, all renewed members who nominate from 1 October will be nominating with their new season membership.
  • Meet hosts will need to add membership requirements for the 2020/21 season as well as the 2019/20 season which is about to end. An updated help guide to reflect the SC user and interface changes will be available on this page in the coming days.
  • As an entity, you may wish to ensure an external club's meet is showing on your members' calendar, so that they can register for this meet. Click here to learn how to do this.
