Warden's Parish News 18 September
Dear Friends
This week we welcome Rev Esma Collins-Marks to preside over our services – thank you Esma.
We are sure, like us, you are hoping that next Tuesday we will be back to Level 1 and ‘normality’. Please continue to hold in your prayers people everywhere in the world who are impacted by Covid-19.
In our parish please remember in your prayers Eileen Barrett-Whitehead’s mother who has had another fall, Peggy, Sue Hammond (David Hammond’s mother), Sue Rowe.
Services times for October and November will continue to be as they are now – 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays at 8am and 10am with the second Sunday being our combined 9am service.
November has 5 Sundays so services on 29th will be using reserved sacrament. The lovely Rosie Newport will be with us on 22nd November.
Wednesday Eucharist - This will be held on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 10:00 a.m.

Working bee
Thank you to all who were able to help with the working bee last Saturday. Quite a few tasks were completed – raking leaves (just so the wind could bring down more!), cleaning windows and windowsills, water blasting the lower area of BHK and cleaning upholstery. A lovely distanced morning tea was provided and enjoyed by all.
Recycling
Please keep collecting your old pens, empty toothpaste tubes, old toothbrushes and wine bottle caps.
Bring them to church and Bridget and Lee will ensure they get to the right place to be recycled.
Monday home group
The group is going well and new members are always welcome. It is held at Jennifer & David Hammond's house (4 Nadia Grove) and begins at 7:30 pm with a cuppa followed by Bible study. Contact 479 0223 or 021 0277 5255 (Jennifer).
Please note that the next meeting will be on 12th October as Jennifer and David are taking the girls away to see their grandfather.
Finally – two pieces from Joy Cowley
Guidance
Oh Holy One
Speak to us of the love that carries us out of the city of words.
May the streets of instruction, the signposts of advice
Simply serve us as guides that lead us to the place of light
Where words are consumed by your radiance.
To my children
Stretch high
reach wide
feel deep
give big
think love
love life
stay open
see beauty
taste God
God bless,
Flora and Lee
