#YESON115

Dear friends,

We're less than four weeks from ballots being mailed to Colorado voters, and that means we need to hit the streets to share the joy of how Prop. 115 will end late-term abortion in Colorado.

Have you seen “honk and wave” events at major intersections, with people waving signs and American flags? We encourage you to gather a group from your parish, family and friends, to do that in support of Yes on Prop. 115. ***Soon, we will have yard signs available that you can use for that purpose.*** If you want to get going now, make your own signs and wave them wildly, with big smiles! Only POSITIVE messages and KINDNESS in your behavior! And please don't mix in support of — or opposition to — any candidates by name. The reality is that Prop. 115 has support from registered Democrats, Unaffiliated and Republican voters. I've said it before and it needs repeating: No matter who you vote for, you can vote for Proposition 115.

IMPORTANT: Let us know when and where and WE WILL PROMOTE IT!! Take pictures of the event and post on social media with the #YesOn115 hashtag. Contact us at: life@ccdenver.org To see the positive effect that social media can have in this campaign, see the Tweet linked here from Chris Stefanick of Real Life Catholic in support of #YesOn115. His brief video has been viewed more than 7,000 times and shared dozens of times.

Bible verse to commit to memory: “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, He it is that doth go with you; He will not fail you, nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 Practice it in front of the mirror until you’ve nailed it!

“Above all, the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights—for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture—is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition for all other personal rights, is not defended with maximum determination.” Saint Pope John Paul II

Get your second wind and be encouraged! Great things are happening, many around the state are linking arms to work together on this ballot proposal! Denver, our mountains, Northern Colorado, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo! Many denominations and organizations!

Several thousand yard signs are in production! As well as a quarter of a million (yes, you read that right!) Palm Cards for distribution.

Action items = If you are able to distribute either of these at your parish – contact our office! life@ccdenver.org

Billboards for YES ON 115 are going up in Northern Colorado! If you see one, take a picture and post it on your social media!!

The Colorado Voters Guide is now ONLINE! (Click on this link)

Talking Points for Clergy are due to be out soon from the Archdiocese of Denver. Be sure and encourage YOUR PRIESTS and DEACONS to read and reference them in their upcoming homilies!

With the 40 Days for Life fall campaign running Sept. 23 through Nov. 1, please plan to join us for a Eucharistic Procession and Benediction Saturday, September 26th at 10 am around Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, 38th and Pontiac (Just west of Quebec/south of I70).

Best for last!
Proposition 115 in Colorado may be unique among state ballot initiatives this year in giving voters an opportunity to specifically end late-term abortion. We know that Planned Parenthood and its allies are intensely focused on trying to defeat Prop. 115. By doing everything WE can to help Coloradans vote #YesOn115, we may also be a light for other states to change their abortion laws.

If that doesn’t energize you, I don’t know what can! Remember, each one of you is valued and appreciated for all of your efforts. Keep on “keeping on!”

Sincerely,

Lynn Grandon
