CONNECTIONS CALENDAR
SUNDAY SCHOOL SUNDAY
Every fall, we set aside one Sunday to highlight our LCBC Sunday School program. Sunday School encompasses Christian Education from our Children's Ministry up to our Adult classes. We want to encourage all ages to participate in our Sunday School time which takes place at 11:15 a.m. every Sunday after our English Worship Service.
Sunday School Sunday is also the time we thank all of the people who help with our Sunday School program. We appreciate all their hard work preparing and facilitating the lessons. Thank you for your dedication to teaching the Word of God to the children, youth, and adults!
FAMILYLIFE CANADA
We invite you to a workshop by FamilyLife Canada on Saturday, October 17th. This workshop outlines the great good that marriage is designed to be and honestly addresses the two great challenges to staying together for good — differences and drift. The cost is $10 per couple and the workshop will be held over Zoom. Please share this information poster and for more details please contact Pastor Alistair by email: alistair.anderton@lcbc.ab.ca
MISSIONS FUNDS UPDATE
The Missions department would like to draw your attention to the Missions Fund as it is not doing well this year. As early September, we have only raised 10% of our budgeted expenses for this year. We have been able to meet our Missions Fund commitments in 2020 to the missionaries and organizations we support, but if our missions offering continues to decline then we will not be able to meet our commitments in 2021.
We would like to suggest brothers and sisters to consider allocating 10% of their regular offering to the Missions Fund for the rest of the year. For example, if you do an e-transfer for $100, please make a note that $10 goes to the Missions Fund.

HOW TO GIVE
While our church is closed to on-site gatherings, there are two options to donate offerings to LCBC:
1) Personal cheques may be mailed directly to our church office through Canada Post (do not mail cash). Please make cheques out to "LCBC" or "Lansdowne Community Baptist Church" and indicate which Fund you are donating to (General, Building, Missions, etc.). Our mailing address is at the bottom of this bulletin.
2) LCBC accepts offerings through online e-transfer. In the additional information field, please type in your a) name, b) offering number, c) designate which Fund you are donating to. If you are donating for the first time to LCBC, please also include d) email address and e) phone number. Send donations to: offering@lcbc.ab.ca
