 Zazen at St Paul's Hall - Thursday 24 September 

We will meet at St Paul's Hall this Thursday evening,  from 6:30 to 8:30pm,  to sit four rounds of zazen.  


If you are attending please follow these ZGWA COVID safety guidelines. 
  • Use the hand sanitiser and wipes, provided at the hygiene stations, on entry and before and after handling equipment.
  • Bring your own water bottle.
  • Bring the correct money for dana (donation) 
  • Don’t use the kitchen area.
  • Maintain social distancing of 1.5m as much as possible.
Telephone Dokusan with Ross Bolleter Roshi  -Tuesday 22 September 

Ross will be offfering dokusan, as usual, by telephone on the 22 September, and not online as was previously advertised. Dokusan starts at 7 pm and finishes at approximately 9 pm.

Requests for dokusan with Ross will close 7 pm Monday evening.

Dokusan will be conducted at 15 minute intervals. The finishing time for the evening will be determined by Ross, after considering the number of people requesting dokusan for that night.

If you want to attend dokusan either:
  1. add your name to the online list by clicking here 
  2. OR notify Kevin Donohue by email (kevin.zgwa@gmail.com) or text (0478 622 589) that you want to attend dokusan and he will add your name to the list.

On Tuesday you can look up your allocated time for dokusan by revisiting the online list (using the link given above). Alternatively, if you sent a dokusan request by email or text you will receive a reply message with your allocated time.

Please phone Ross at your allocated time. The number will be provided to you once you have signed up.


Online Mini-Sesshin with Ross Bolleter Roshi and Mari Rhydwen Roshi - September 26 and 27

Registrations for our  two-day, online mini-Sesshin being held on 26 and 27 September close on Wednesday 23 September.

The sesshin includes, zazen, dokusan (with both teachers) and teishos. The schedule for each day will resemble a Zazenkai schedule.  The sesshin will be held over the period 8:30am to 4:00pm (WST) each day. Voluntary Zazen is encouraged after dinner on the first day and before breakfast on the second day.

Part time attendance is possible for those who cannot attend the full Sesshin.

The teachers will be offering dokusan simultaneously each day. You can go to dokusan once a day with one of the  teachers.   You can choose which teacher you want to go to for dokusan and which day when registering.  Note you will need to call Ross Bolleter Roshi on his landline for dokusan, however dokusan will be online (using Zoom) with Mari Rhydwen Roshi.
