ALL RISE
Oyez! Oyez! Oyez!

We are inspired and more motivated than ever to fight for the future of our country. No matter what happens with the Court in the next 44 days, we will only have a fighting chance of continuing the country on the path she envisioned by winning in November. Make sure the young people in your life are registered and have a voting plan. They are the ones whose lives will be impacted the most by this election and the Supreme Court. Then sign up and get everyone you know to do something to turn out every vote for Biden/Harris and take back the Senate and keep the House.

This is our moment!

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 5:30-7 PM

Join the Indivisible Chicago Alliance Texting Team! Texting is a very effective and efficient way to connect directly with voters in addition to making phone calls and writing postcards, especially in a pandemic when we can’t canvass and talk to voters in person. We text using computer applications so you don't need to use your personal phone and your identity is protected. We text bank together on Zoom several times a week and you can also send texts on your own daily. Join us for a Monday night Zoom training to find out more about how you can get out the vote, one text at a time!

📲 We are currently offering training for ThruText, which is the texting platform used by the Biden campaign and state Democratic party texting programs. We have text banks twice weekly for the ONE Michigan campaign. This week we're texting voters about absentee and early voting, which starts on Thursday in Michigan!

📲 We also have a weekly text bank with the national "IndivisiText Team" (campaigns and states targeted changes weekly). That program is full so the Wednesday text banks are only for volunteers who have previously completed our TextOut training. During our Zoom text banks we provide support, answer questions and play texting bingo!

Mondays 5:30-7 PM CT: Texting Training for ThruText - Michigan Textbanks

Tuesdays 4-6 PM CT: Text Banks to Michigan with ONE Michigan Campaign
(
Training Required)

Wednesdays 2-4 PM CT: IndivisiText Team National Textbanking
(previously trained volunteers only, program is at capacity)

Fridays 4-6 PM CT: ICA Texting Team Office Hours: Get support and ask questions about our texting programs with texting team leaders. Note: this is not a training or a textbank.

Saturdays 4-6 PM CT: Text Banks to Michigan with ONE Michigan Campaign
(
Training Required)

Texting Bingo! We play texting bingo during our Zoom textbanks! You can win fun prizes like Vote face masks, ballot box earrings, pins, and Indivisible swag!

Texting on your own? Report your texting totals HERE that you send outside our text banks and help our Texting Team reach our goal of sending 600,000 texts by November 3!

Volunteer with the Wisconsin Voter Protection Team!

Wisconsin is often referred to as the breaking point state—as goes Wisconsin, so goes the country. That means that Voter Protection is more important than ever. Every vote is critical, every voter should have their vote count, and every voter we can help make their voice heard brings us one step closer to taking our country back. Check out the different types of volunteering opportunities we offer and see which ones sound right for you, whether you live in Wisconsin or not!

Support Rep. Lauren Underwood in IL-14
Phonebanks Every Thursday, 6-8pm

Every Thursday, our attendee numbers get bigger and bigger - last week we had our highest turnout with nearly 20 phonebankers! That means, so far we've made over 6,000 dials to support Rep. Underwood's big to become the first Dem to get selected to Illinois 14th!

Lauren Underwood's opponent is a self-funded multi-millionaire with a lot of name recognition throughout the district and the state. It's proving to be a very close race so far and that's not expected to change in the next 40 days until Nov. 3rd. That's why we need to provide all the volunteering support we can. Join us every Thursday!

Phonebank Details:
  • Phonebanks are hosted by the campaign and last from 6-8pm
  • No need to stay the entire duration - join when you can and make your target of 50 dials!
  • Host will stay on throughout the call to answer questions and provide additional info we can use with voters
  • We'll debrief at the end to share war stories and advice
  • Optional training provided at 6pm for those who need it

Can't make Thursdays? Join Indivisible Chicago's Tuesday Underwood phonebanks OR make calls on your own.

This year, it's not enough to vote. In 2020, we all have to act. And we can still stay safe and take action from home.

In 2020, Indivisible Evanston is working hard to win back the White House, the Senate, Wisconsin and to keep our gains in the House and here in Illinois.

Thank you for reading our weekly newsletters, following us on FB and visiting our website for a full list of our 2020 actions.

We can do this if we all pitch in -- this is a team effort!

Indivisible Evanston Mission Statement

The mission of Indivisible Evanston is to resist Donald Trump, his administration, and like-minded Members of Congress, and to remove them all from office on November 3, 2020, before they replace our democracy with an authoritarian plutocracy. We do not expect our members or allies to agree on all issues, but we invite those who agree that the Trump presidency is harming our country to work together to replace him and his GOP enablers. We seek to be as inclusive and diverse as possible, and we are committed to non-violence in all our actions.
