Hollydays Raffle Tickets

There is such great momentum with our Mercedes Raffle Ticket Sales. We have increased from $9,000 to $22,000 in sales. It's exciting to think about how much we will be able to use on community projects and our activities in the league. If you have not dropped off your tickets, please do so at the league office. This will also allow us to plan for our marketing push over the next few weeks.

Don't forget to use the Hollydays toolkit to help you sell your raffle tickets. The toolkit includes email templates and social media graphics that highlight how the money we raise goes back into our work supporting the community. Click here to download.

Hollydays Special Events

Head over to the www.shophollydays.org to purchase Hollydays Gala, A Night of Giving, and/or Breakfast with Santa tickets. Hurry before they are all sold out.

Social distancing and safety guidelines will be in place during each event. Although events will be held outside, guests are encouraged to wear face masks.

You Spoke, We Listened

The Training and Organizational Development Council has responded to our leadership team and our members’ requests to expand our training program. Our Civic Leadership Training Program encompasses a curriculum that will cultivate competency in five domains such as JLBR Leadership, Community Leadership, Personal and Professional Development, and Social Networking. We encourage members to engage in training via experiential learning through your placements, relationship building in small group meetings, networking in special interest groups, and sessions with nationally recognized facilitators.

A multichannel approach with webinars, town hall meetings, books/articles, virtual sessions, and engaging experiences are elements of our new delivery model. Register on your member homepage to join us as we learn and lead.
Be sure to join us for the remaining training opportunities this month presented by the Training Committee!

Remember: Only Actives will earn 1 Training meeting credit per event. Only 4 Training meeting credits count towards your meeting obligation each year.

Straw ballots will close in less than two weeks, Wednesday, Sept. 30. The list of members who are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors (BOD) or Executive Management (EM) can be found on the Straw Ballot form. If you are interested in becoming an officer you can nominate yourself, or if you know a member or members who would be great in leadership positions, you can nominate them using the Straw Ballot. Be sure to provide comments describing how you or your nominee would be great in the selected positions. To learn more about the entire leadership nomination process, visit the Resource Documents page, where you can view the League’s Bylaws, Section VIII.
