Join us for a Virtual Patient Discussion!
World Psoriasis Day (October 29, 2020) is a perfect time to build awareness about psoriatic disease (psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis) in Canada. This year, CPN, CAPP and Unmasking Psoriasis are planning meetings with federal government representatives and policy makers to highlight the experiences and needs of people with psoriatic disease and their families.
The meetings will highlight the challenges experienced by people and families living with these conditions and how these challenges were made worse by the pandemic. They will also provide recommendations for addressing these issues as the situation in Canada continues to evolve.
To help inform these meetings, we are inviting individuals who live with psoriatic disease to participate in a moderated discussion to explore:
- Your experiences (symptoms, lifestyle, treatments) with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis prior to the pandemic
- How your experiences were affected by the pandemic
- If you could ask the government to make one change to the health system to better support you as a person living with psoriasis, what would it be?
We're seeking 5 people for the virtual chat including representation from:
- People living with psoriasis
- People living with psoriatic arthritis
- Family/caregiver of person living with psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis
Participants will be selected based on:
- Geographic representation from across Canada
- Diverse representation (e.g., age, gender)
- Availability to attend the virtual session
The virtual discussion will take place in early October.
