Dear Subscribers,

We hope that you are safe and well.

We want to express our continued support and solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and the willingness of all those across the globe who are working to bring and end to systematic racism. We are part of a sector that has work to do to be genuinely anti-racist. We must reflect & commit to change, today & everyday.

Before we get started, we have exciting news to share. On Wednesday 30 September at 10am-11.30am, our Commission on a Gender-Equal Economy is launching its final report on the work carried out by the Commission over the last 18 months, why we need to build a #CaringEconomy and how we can do this. We'd like to invite you to join us for our online event 'Creating a caring economy: a call to action.' The event is free but registration is required.

WBG: Parliamentary consultations

Part of our Public Affairs work is to submit evidence on gender-sensitive policy to various Government, opposition, parliamentary or departmental consultations (also called inquiries.) To better equip our members to have a say and draw on your expertise, we will send a regular round up of consultations currently taking evidence, either that we are submitting to or, that might be of interest to you. Where it is indicated that WBG is submitting to a consultation, please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss/contribute.

Government consultations and inquiries: Most Committees and Departments are still taking evidence on the impact of Coronavirus on various demographics/sectors. If you are interested in submitting evidence on these, a full list is available here.
