Here are some of the latest PD opportunities and resources!
Literacy Leaders and Coaches Network 2020-2021 - Access the First Podcast!
The Literacy Leaders and Coaches Network (LLCN) is taking a new approach to literacy learning in the 2020-2021 school year. We have a podcast! Our LLCN Brief will be released several times throughout the year on a schedule similar to the planned LLCN dates. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are not able to gather our 120+ members face-to-face at this time. While we look forward to connecting in person when it is once again safe to do so, we have created this format as a way to stay connected in the meantime.
This first episode of the LLCN Brief features Mark Raffler and Sarah Shoemaker introducing the changes to the Literacy Leaders and Coaches Network for the 2020-2021 school year. We detail what those changes look like, how to access this podcast throughout the year, and share some content around assessment mindset as well as remote learning.

Essential Social Inquiry - Social Studies that Sticks
The 2020-21 school year is here! While none of us know for certain what challenges the year will bring, this professional learning option for social studies teachers will attempt to provide you the skills and strategies you need (in bite sized chunks) in both a synchronous and asynchronous fashion.
Please note this is hosted by David Johnson. Social Studies Consultant from Wexford-Missaukee.
Ellin has been working with Kent ISD teachers for over a year now. Last spring she sold out two webinars (almost 1000 educators were enrolled!). Teachers that attended her workshops have said...this workshop "caused me to think about engagement differently," "I loved how Ellin modeled how to keep kids engaged with students!" and I could definitely use the strategies introduced in my classroom. They were very practical. I especially appreciate the use of modeling with real students."
During our extensive work with Ellin we have been able to see results in student engagement in the classroom when using strategies learned from these workshops. Click here to read more about the results of this study.
Don't miss your chance to work with Ellin Oliver Keene for only $25. Whether you are meeting face to face or virtually...this course will help you ignite engagement!
* Please note that these two offerings are identical, you do not need to sign up for both.
