What is the European
Week of Regions and Cities?
The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to regional policy.
In the last 17 years it has been bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including their political representatives, officials as well as experts and academics. The programme of the 2019 edition counted over 9000 participants and more than 330 sessions, making it a platform for political communication in relation to the development of EU cohesion policy.
Due to the Covid-19 situation, this year will be the first ever fully digital EURegionsWeek, with more than 500 digital working sessions about Empowering Citizens, Cohesion and Cooperation and Green Europe to discover over three consecutive weeks, from 5 - 22 October.

About our PLAY LAB
- Playful Paradigm to re-think cities -
We aim to gather together policymakers and urban practitioners to contribute to co-design measures and insights for a shared Manifesto of Playful EU Cities, aimed at transforming urban environments into great places to live. And we’ll try to make it as playful as possible! ;)
Based on the experience of the Lead Partner of the Playful Paradigm URBACT Transfer Network, city of Udine (Italy) and a contribution from a partner city, Cork (Ireland), proposals and insights will be shared on the possibility of promoting a Playful Policy approach to foster social inclusion and sustainability in EU cities.
