A Message from Our President
Woodinville Arts Alliance President, Carol Hook
Hi All,

We hope you are all doing well and staying safe and healthy.

WAA would like to help keep people connected and involved during these challenging times. I believe it’s important for all of us to find all the positive activities and things we can to help us move forward each day.

On September 24th 7-8 PM, WAA is proud to sponsor "Making More of a Business of Your Art" by Ray Pfortner with an informational and educational talk virtually. This presentation is a benefit of membership and for members only. Please encourage your artist and non-artist friends to join WAA and enjoy these benefits!

On September 4th we launched a new Art Walk Experience that you can enjoy virtually or in person at the 10 participating local businesses.
See more info below.

Our next Art Walk will be Dec. 4th. Let’s get out there and support our local businesses and artists!

Lastly, we are in need of filling our Finance Chair. If you or anyone you know is interested, please let me know!

Cheers, Carol

Fall 2020 Virtual Art Walk

As we are getting used to the new normal, our Virtual Summer Art Walk was a success. We have a new line up of brilliant artists in with our local favorite tasting rooms here in Woodinville for the Fall Art Walk, in person or virtually.

Enjoy your favorite beverage while supporting local businesses and artists. As we become accustomed to responsible social distancing, you can enjoy a drink while viewing some fantastic pieces or viewing the virtual Fall Art Walk online.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the Virtual Fall Art Walk from September 4th through November 2020, with beautifully displayed pieces from our very own passionate and talented artists from the comfort of your home. Take advantage of this unique display to measure wall space in your home or home office for that piece of art that speaks to you!

Participating venues offer curbside pickup of wines, brews, coffees, teas and artworks!

Spread the word and show your patronage to local businesses and artists by posting and tagging your favorite pictures with the hashtag #WoodinvilleArtWalk on Facebook and Instagram.

This year will be an epic year and we will need to get creative in how the teens will meet and bring more art opportunities to the community while physical distancing, but the teens have already been bouncing some wonderful ideas around.

Recently, we got confirmation that the 2020/2021 Woodinville Teen Arts Alliance has been chosen by the City of Woodinville and the Woodinville Rotary Club to design and paint a 10’ Peace Pole in honor of  First Responders and Law Enforcement. This is an amazing honor and privilege! The money earned by painting the Peace Pole will go toward art workshops for the teens in the council. Congratulations Woodinville Teen Arts Alliance 2020/2021!

In the News - WAA Fall Art Walk

Woodinville Weekly Features Woodinville Arts Alliance
Fall Art Walk, Talks to our Artist Nicole Monohan

The Woodinville Arts Alliance (WAA) has prepared a new fall lineup of “brilliant artists” who will be appearing virtually to display their work at several local tap and tasting rooms in Woodinville Sept. 4 through November.

One of the highlighted artists is Nicole Monahan, a local illustrator and art instructor who explores and creates art focusing on nature and science. She is currently working on a series of coastal paintings, "Like the ocean."

“This year may be turbulent and uncertain, but as we watch the water, we find it flows around obstacles eventually finding comfort and calmness,” Monahan said. “The ocean is home to so much vibrant life just below the surface. It is protected and thriving no matter what chaos is going on above.

“I think it is with this ability to flow, adapt, and find stillness, that we will be able to finish this year with a smile no matter what has been thrown at us.”

Monahan’s art is on display at the Hopheads Taproom. You can also see her work at Monahan Studio at 19920 174th Avenue Northeast, or by visiting woodinvilleartsalliance.com.

All of the artist’s work can be seen online at woodinvilleartsalliance.com.
