On Saturday September the 12th, we will conclude this year's abbreviated, but highly successful ITT season at McCowan road. We have sufficient volunteers for the TT. The response for volunteers was fantastic, thank you to all who offered their services!
Below are the start lists for tomorrow's TT. Remember to practice the Covid guidelines, we have been doing very well. The start lists are below.
Yours in Time Trialing,
Bob Spencer
Hill Climbs: Bathurst Street and Hockley Hill Climb
Bathurst Street HC--On September 14th, the final Tuesday night Bathurst Street Hill Climb will take place next at 6:00 PM. The Hill Climb Registration is open, and the weather forecast looks promising.
Hockley Hill Climb -- Provisional - This has to be approved by the OCA.
So, you’ve spent the whole year training on Zwift and climbing the Alpe de Zwift, followed by a spring of solo rides with headwinds in every direction. You’ve got, as the Europeans say, “the big shape”.
Here is your final opportunity with the club to test that fitness.
The premier Hockley Valley Hill Climb will happen at 10 am on Saturday September 19th, 2020
The climb is an approximately 2.2k m with an average gradient of 3.4% with pitches up to 9%. Thank you to Alex Neystadt for the recommendation and directions.
Parking:
Orangeville Fairgrounds is 5K out West of the 3rd Line and 5th sideroad intersection.
Another way to get to the bottom of the hill (or complete the triangular loop) is to go West from Orangeville Fairgrounds (assuming that is the parking for everyone) to the intersection with Hockley Road and turn right into that east direction. This is a very gentle no gradients 7k warm up before the TT.
