Americans LOVE Cheese! Dairy Checkoff Weighs in on CNBC’s Story that Tells Why
Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) staff worked with the national news outlet CNBC to help create the story “Why Americans Love Cheese,” featuring DMI’s Paul Ziemnisky and Chad “The Cheese Guy” Galer that looks at the history of cheese over the decades.  Cheese consumption per capita has grown from 14.2 pounds in 1975 to 38.3 pounds last year! The story is also posted on YouTube and has already racked up more than 5,300 views.

Philadelphia Families Received Milk for their Tables This Week
Thursday, ADA North East helped distribute more than 2,100 gallons of Harrisburg Dairies milk to families in Philadelphia. We worked with the dairy processor, USDA-approved vendors and local community organizations, including the Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, to provide each vehicle with two gallons of milk and a 20-pound box of produce. The Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) grant made it possible for the local community organization to provide the much-needed food to those in need.
Dairy Checkoff will Help Farmers Show Commitment to Environmental Stewardship
Pennsylvania dairy farmer and Dairy Management Inc., chair Marilyn Hershey of Cochranville, Pa., discusses the NetZero Initiative designed to preserve market access and demand for dairy products domestically and globally. The need arises as consumer prioritize environmental sustainability, with a recent market insight report showing that 85 percent of consumers expect companies to invest in sustainability issues within the next year.
