 RESULTS
Return of Club Champs
Club races returned with 1500m and 200m action at Sutcliffe Park on Wednesday evening. The evening was a success with 14 PBs (53.8%) across the three 1500m races and plenty of people adding 200m to their Powerof10 profile.
Joe Hartley was crowned men's club champ with a strong front-running performance of 4:16, followed by second claimer Chris McGurk in 4:20 and Joseph Yee a very credible 4:23. For the women, Clare Elms led the way with 5:06, just ahead of Sarah Hanley who led out the previous race, clocking 5:07 with Dee O'Brien third in 5:23.

Nathan Stevens ran a strong 22.9 in the 200m, ahead of an impressive 23.6 from Louis Wampler after doubling up in the 1500m. Dee O'Brien took the women's crown in 33.3, with Ben Cook's race report from Saturday worth the read. Many thanks to all the volunteers for making the evening possible:
Ben Cook, Rob Laing, John Barron, Spenser Lane, Dan Pettitt, Len Reilly, Heather Castle, Pete Boxshall, Dave Devlin, Simon Allen, Kate Williams & Rowan Crichton

Short but sweet triathlon season in Hamburg for Alex
With only one event possible in this year's World Triathlon Series, the season was limited to a one-off World Championship in Hamburg. Alex Yee had a storming run (fastest of the day) in fifth and the first Brit home, before anchoring the Mixed Relay team to bronze the following day.

Sprinters make their mark
Sprinters Joe Appiah and Nathan Brown have been making the most of a shortened season. Joe was in competition this weekend finishing his season with a SB in the 100m (11.79w) over in Dagenham, ahead of moving up to the M50 category next month. Since opening the season over in Budapest, Joe has been busy competing across the country over the hurdles in Nuneaton and Trafford, leaving him top of the 110H UK Masters rankings.
Nathan currently leads the club rankings with a 11.02 in the 100m having run a 10.89w in the same meeting at Stratford on the 6th September.

Highgate Harriers Open
Three made the journey up to Parliament Hill for some 3000m action on Wednesday evening:
Neil Phillips - 9:31
Dave Morgan - 8:58
Jim Allchin - 8:36

South London Harriers Open
PB-man of the summer, Ian Ellwood, took another 2 seconds off his recent 800m PB, with a 2:07 clocking. Doubling up, he also took the win in a 1500m later on in 4:30.

Antrim Coast Half Marathon
Kent AC participation was limited to second claimer Ross Braden, but his great run is worthy of a mention, claiming a big PB of 66:30.
