MESSAGE FROM SANDRA BURNETT,
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Our thoughts are with those in our community whose lives have been devastated by the fires sweeping through Oregon.  We wish you strength and perseverance through this latest disaster, and the tenacity to keep on going. To lose everything is an overwhelming challenge but these are the moments when a community can come together in support.

The Bush Barn Art Center was born out of a fire back in 1963. That fire, that saw the destruction of a functioning city asset, led to a unified community effort to restore the structure into an art center that would, in turn, nourish the soul of the community into the future. This was the big step for the Salem Art Association and to this day the Bush Barn provides a gathering place for the expression of creativity and community building through the arts.
