Hello <<First Name>>,

Hello yogi, I hope you can take some time as the seasons change to stop (or slow down) and really see the shifts that are going on around you. Many of us are going back to work, or back to school, the weather is shifting, the election is impending and sometimes it can feel like all we can do to stay afloat is to keep swimming forward. The feeling of overwhelm is real and you are not alone. So, I am going to softly encourage you to pause and just sit with that feeling for a moment. Then take a look around yourself: see the season change, notice your body's reaction and then take care.

If this seems challenging to do alone Emilie Berger and I are offering a workshop on October 10th for just this type of seasonal overwhelm. Seasonal Wellness: Yoga, Pranayama and Essential Oils will help you tap into your personal power and give you practical skills to help you ground yourself, calm stress or anxiety and give yourself an energy boost when you need it. Read more about it here.

Additionally, I want to let you know that I too am working to find some calm. To do this all classes on September 14th and 15th will be cancelled. I will be back for a special Birthday Yoga in the Park session on Wednesday, September 16th (yes it is my birthday!)

YOGA CLASS LIBRARY:
While I am away upstate, or any time you need them, there is a full library of pre-recorded classes available via my website. I am working to automate this system, but if you would like a recorded class to practice at your leisure (and as many times as you like) please let me know. Use this link: https://www.lindenmovementlab.org/pre-recorded-classes to access 30min Abs & Ass classes and 1hr Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga. Donations are appreciated for each class you take and instructions are on the page for how to access the classes.

PRIVATES:
If it is the case that you want to get back into your practice, but don't know where to begin or want to take your practice deeper - I am here for you!
I am still offering private and semi-private classes on zoom, in the park, and maybe safely inside. For the month of September, Privates will be on a sliding scale of $140-$200 for a package of 3 sessionsPlease email me  and we can set up a free 30min consultation call to get you exactly what you need.  You can also purchase a set for an essential worker in your life who you feel needs a little self-care time. Email me to set up a consultation for them!

DONATIONS:
Lastly, and most importantly, this week's donations are going to support the work of  Equality for Flatbush. They work under the tenets of Affordable Housing and fighting displacement due to gentrification, opposing police brutality and they have created many toolkits for alternatives to calling the police. I've donated $22 (as 10% of my donation-class based earnings from the last two weeks) and I encourage you to match this donation if you can.

If you have an organization or group that you would like me to donate to and promote please make a recommendation via this form.

All my best to you as always,

Claire
