Walk for the Jimmy Fund this year! Weston Nurseries is proud to, once again, participate in the annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk to support the Dana Farber Institute and the Jimmy Fund in their fundraising efforts. Last year our Jimmy Fund walk team, “Such Devotion” raised over $35,000 and we hope to raise a substantial amount again this year. We will be doing many things in our garden centers to help raise money including food trucks, donations at our registers with a company match, and raffle drawings in each of our stores. However, the best way to raise money is through our walkers reaching out to their contacts to support them.
This year’s walk event will be different due to Covid. Instead of thousands of people walking some or all of the Boston Marathon route, participants will walk on their own time, either on or before October 4. You can choose a single day route to walk with friends or set up a multi-week walking or running goal on your own.
This year, the sign-up fee is only $5 and the minimum money you have to raise is only $100. As an added bonus to join our team, Weston will still give out a $50 gift card if you raise $500 or more or a $100 gift card if you raise $1000 or more.
