E-bulletin - 14th September 2020

Welcome to this edition of the Cornwall Faith Forum (CFF) E-bulletin.  We hope you and your loved ones' are keeping well and safe.

We were due to advise you in this edition of our first socially distance walk this year from Tresillian to St Clements which was due to be held in October.  Sadly however owing to the new restrictions and the 'rule of six' we are unable to do this.  Our theme for readings along the way was going to be on the theme of Creation.  Creationtide is currently being celebrated this month.  If you want to find out more about Creationtide click HERE

Although we are not able to meet together in person, we do have however our weekly Thursday noon prayers.  Our prayers are posted onto our website HERE and Facebook weekly.  If you would like to submit a prayer please contact Rita Stephen dorkemmyn.rita@btinternet.com
World Peace Day - Monday, 21st September 2020

Paul Haines writes 'Over the past four years in Truro and Cornwall, choirs, groups, organizations and speakers, have come together to raise awareness about World Peace Day and also to support One Day One Choir, a global choral project for peace.  www.onedayonechoir.org   Over 40 choirs have taken part, with many groups involved, and over 30 people have spoken about peace and also for some, the work they are involved with to make this world a better place.

Due to ‘Covid’ restrictions, any plans will be very limited, but hopefully next year events will go ahead as in previous years. Unfortunately choirs singing and large groups of people aren’t possible at the moment, so instead, here are some suggestions of how anyone can take part, on the day, or near to it, either on your own, or with a small group. Anything, anyone can do, however large or small, can help to bring about a more peaceful world.'  See list of suggestions click HERE

Serving a Wounded World in Interreligious Solidarity

The World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (PCID) have released a joint document, “Serving a Wounded World in Interreligious Solidarity: A Christian Call to Reflection and Action During COVID-19 and Beyond.” Its purpose is to encourage churches and Christian organizations to reflect on the importance of interreligious solidarity in a world wounded by the COVID-19 pandemic.
