Our "virtual" Harvest Festival

As I explained during Sunday's live-stream service, the church Leadership team have decided to wait a little bit longer before trying to coordinate an ongoing pattern of church services inside the church building. Whilst we had been planning to hold some Harvest Festivals toward the end of this month, we've changed our plans in light of the new "Rule of 6" guidelines being published. Everything below summarises my "News from the Pews" from yesterday's YouTube live-stream. Click here to watch this section again.

The new plan...

• We will be broadcasting a Harvest service that will be pre-recorded in the church and then uploaded to YouTube on Sunday 27th September at 10.30am.
• As part of the service, we will be inviting people to dedicate to God a donation of food that will then be given to the West Wight Foodbank. Hopefully, as a church, we will be able to make a sizable donation of non-perishable food. The Foodbank Website gives an up-to-date list of goods that are in need at this time.
• You will need to bring your food donation down to the church during the week leading up to the Harvest Festival. I (Dave) will be at the church each day from 10am-12pm on Mon-Fri. I will also be there from 8pm-9pm on Mon, Wed, and Fri.
• Please come down to the church during that week...come to spend a few minutes in private prayer. Come to say hi to me - I've been missing everyone and would love to catch up! Come to say "thankyou" to God for some of the blessings in your life. Come to hear more about BMS World Mission's Harvest Appeal - "Operation Chad"...and to give if you would like to.
• We are inviting residents of Solent Gardens to drop in to the church during that week too...hand-delivering invitations to each household during this coming week. See the invitation letter here and please be praying for those invitations as they are given out.
