Low Altitude Hike with Aaron: Friday, September 18
Join Aaron Gouw, Senior Center Graduate Student Assistant, on a 4.6 mile hike through the beautiful hills behind the Western campus. Enjoy this beautiful Fall weather in a safe setting!! High Altitude Hike with Jim: Saturday, September 19
This hike will be point-to-point so will need to have those willing to drive others and to carpool. Smaller cars can have 2 non-family persons; larger vehicles can have 3 to 4. Masks are required while in vehicles, as well as open windows. All-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicles are needed for this hike due to the terrain and slight chance of showers. The hike will be 10.4 miles in length, beginning at 10,900 feet and ending at 7,900 feet. Hikers must have regular experience hiking at high altitudes and at least 10 miles in length. Hiking poles and hiking boots are required! As are masks! Also, as it is archery, muzzleloader and early beer rifle hunting season, please wear orange tops, and if you have them, orange hats.
