Parent Teacher Conferences
Hygiene Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for the week of September 28th.  You will be able to schedule and edit your conference time between 4 pm on September 18th (TODAY) and 8 pm on September 24th.  If you wish to make changes after that time, please contact the front office.

Please click here when you are ready to scehdule your child's conference.  Our conferences will be done by Video Appointment on the Meet the Teacher platform this fall.  For more information about Video Appointments, please click here.

When you schedule your conference, you will also have the option to sign up for a conference with the Specialist teachers (PE, Music, Art) as well, if you want to.

Conferences are twenty minutes long (blocks are 25 minute increments, but the conference is 20 minutes).

In order to schedule your child's appointment, you will need to use the primary email address connected to your student (a message was sent to earlier this week from Meet the Teacher) and your child's student number.  Your child's student number is the set of 6 digits that follow the "sv" in their password they use for school.  You can also find their student number by logging onto Infinite Campus.

If you have any questions about scheduling your child's appointment, please contact Summer Irvin at irvin_summer@svvsd.org or 720-652-8021.
Library Curbside Checkout
Since we can't be in school right now, we are going to start Remote Library Curbside Checkout.  You can check out up to three books, and we will call you when they are ready to be picked up.  As we start this process, pick up day will be on Fridays from 8:30 until 4.  Just call the school when you get here and we will bring the books to your car.   You can keep the books for up to two weeks, and get new books when you return them.

Gifted and Talented Nominations
Please click here for more information about the Gifted and Talented Nomination process!  Nominations are due September 30th.
SVVSD Virtual Town Hall
Our Superintendent, Dr. Haddad, sent out an email earlier this week about an upcoming Virtual Town Hall with Boulder County Public Health.  Form more information about this meeting, which will be on September 21st, please click here.
School Lunches
St. Vrain Valley Schools has implemented a number of protocols to ensure students continue to receive nutritious meals during school closures while maintaining high standards for health and safety.

The Nutrition Services Department will continue the curbside meal program.  Meals will be offered at no charge for any child ages 1-18, however families who qualify for free and reduced price lunch are still strongly encouraged to complete an application.

Student's free and reduced applications expired on August 31 from last year.  Families will need to compelte a new application for this school year.  f you have questions about the application process contact Sandra Melara at melara_sandra@svvsd.org.
Behavioral Code of Conduct

Dear Hygiene students and families,

Thank you for your partnership and supporting the academic growth, safety, and well-being of our students. Every year, St. Vrain Valley Schools prints an up-to-date version of the Code of Conduct for students and families to review. This important document guides students and school staff on what expectations for school conduct and the consequences for behaviors that fall outside of those expectations. It is important that families review this information every year and acknowledge their receipt and understanding of this document.

To this end, please click here to access an electronic version of the revised Code of Conduct for the 2020-2021 school year. After you have reviewed this information, all families must sign an electronic acknowledgement that they have received, read, and understand the information contained, including the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians; Behavioral Code of Conduct; Rights and Responsibilities of Students and Parents; and Board of Education Policies book. To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here.

Again, thank you for your continued partnership and support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly at collier_renee@svvsd.org.

Sincerely,

Renee Collier, Principal

100 Mile Club
Hello Hygiene Elementary School Families!  This year, even while we're affected by changes at our school, we want to remain active and connected through 100 Mile Club!  100 Mile Club has created a way for families to participate from home and to order the incentive packages directly through them!  Please click here to find the link for the enrollment form, along with incentive package options and links/QR code for registration.

In addition, we encourage family members to join!  We have a special discounted rate of $10 for any family member who joins at this time (normally $20).

Upon registration, you'll receive a tracking sheet to begin monitoring your progress.  Plus, we'll be following up with additional information and ideas for doing 100 Mile Club TO GO!  throughout the year.  We will also celebrate successes, recognize milestones and send encouragement through regular emails from Mrs. Newell.  It is important to understand that 100 Mile Club will be administered in this virtual format for the duration of the 2020-2021 school year.

Note:  Shipping charges apply as the order will be delivered directly to you!  Shipping will begin in mid-September, but start tracking your miles NOW!
