Discussion groups at our first meeting on 3rd September 2019 in Portree.
A reminder about tonight's meeting when we'll briefly review our first year and look at some ideas for the future. Please join in the conversation by obtaining the meeting link here.

Review of our first year
Tuesday 15th September, 7-8.30 pm

Skye Climate Action is now one year old!  Thirty three people attended the first meeting on 3rd September 2019 and we now have over 160 members. We set ourselves up as a network, with the aim of linking up those who were already involved in climate actions in Skye and nearby, and supporting others to develop their own initiatives. During our first year, we have achieved a lot, purely on volunteer effort - see the summary here. Our Vision, Purpose and Mission statement is available here

As we have grown, the opportunities to link up with other initiatives and the work of coordinating, communicating and advocacy have grown as well, and we now have a steering group to help with that. However, we remain a grass roots organisation and our strength lies in our members.

Our meeting next Tuesday will review our first year, with updates on activities, and look at how we can sustain and expand our work as we move into our second year. Please join us to contribute your suggestions.
