"Repentance, Prayer and Tzedakah have the power
to soften the harsh decree.” (High Holiday liturgy)

Kol HaOt is delighted to present a series of special videos that explore each of these holiday themes. As we prepare for Rosh Hashanah, watch Kol HaOt cofounder David Moss, as he discusses prayer through the lens of his art.

In many ways, the biblical character Jonah is symbolic of our own journey of repentance during the High Holidays.
When Jonah is summoned by God, he quarantines himself in the innermost parts of a ship – isolating himself from both his fellow passengers and the urgency of the task at hand.

We will explore the first chapter of the Book of Jonah with an eye to the core characters and themes. Then we will delve into both the playful, animated illustrations of Eliyahu Sidi, as well as the sobering, allusive etchings of Mordechai Beck.
As many are looking for new ways to celebrate the High Holidays during this challenging year, the Rosh HaShanah Haggadah, which we developed, has attracted much attention.

We're delighted that it has been dispersed to 600 buildings in Jerusalem to celebrate with their neighbors, and will be used in many communities and languages around the world!

Kol HaOt wishes you and your loved ones a healthy and meaningful New Year, as we continue to face the pandemic's challenges and uncertainties. May our faith and community be a source of
blessing, resilience and support.  שנה טובה
