Eleven food and milk distribution opportunities for local families are slated this week in New York and Pennsylvania. ADA North East is working with USDA-Approved vendors, dairy processors and community organizations to help distribute more than 2,100 boxes of dairy foods, each weighing 20 pounds to New York families. Pennsylvanians will have access to more than 6,800 gallons of Schneider’s Dairy and Harrisburg Dairies milk. The Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) and Nourish New York government-funded grants have made it possible for the community groups to provide the much-needed milk and food to those in need.
- New York sites include East Syracuse, Fulton, Colton, Ballston Spa, Herkimer, Madrid and Cape Vincent.
- Pennsylvania locations include Greensburg, Jeanette and Johnstown, in addition to a distribution through the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.
