Currently, I'm traveling in a Unimog (a German military vehicle with an RV on the back) from California via Washington state and on back to North Carolina, where we relocated last year. With a max speed of 42 mph, we're experiencing slow travel on a whole different level. Whereas I previously thought that the central USA states were where you cracked the throttle and suffered through it, by purposely traveling at a slower pace I've learned to really appreciate and savor the nuances this region represents.
