In honor of UN75 and in observance of the UN International Day of Peace, our UN2020 Coordinating Partners invite you to join our informal dialogue with key actors in the field of global affairs, religion, ethics, and peace and security. The 1.5 hour dialogue is pre-recorded as UN2020’s contribution for the observance of the UN International Day of Peace to be viewed on the global platform of Unity Earth’s Peace Weekend taking place 19-21 September. The discussion will address matters beyond technical fixes. How has humanity engaged in transformative change throughout history? How can political-will be galvanized? How can we expand consensus around shared values? What does the future look like for global governance? Meeting the global challenges humanity faces requires a fundamental shift in thinking about humanity’s relationship to the earth, true wealth, progress, the role and nature of power and governance, and the essential values of humanity. Now, in this time of a global pandemic, we are called to find solutions through a renewed commitment to collaboration, innovation, and action. The United Nations, as it enters its 75th Anniversary, has initiated a number of conversations to better understand what it is that the people and the nations desire at this moment in history.
