The fiddle-player and academic Liz Doherty has just launched 'I Teach Trad', an innovative new programme for teaching teachers of Irish traditional music. She spoke to the Journal of Music about her aims for the course.

Increase of Arts Council funding to €135 million; reinstatement of €350 Pandemic Unemployment Payment; increased investment in Irish arts abroad; and a reduction in the rate of VAT on ticket sales among the recommendations.

Guidelines for arts events are divided into indoor and outdoor events; measures also cover institutions, clubs, bars, cafes and nightclubs.
