DHNA ELECTIONS
Vote Electronically or Drive-thru
Dear Members,

We are happy to announce that electronic or in-person voting is now available for the 2020-2021 DHNA Board and the proposed Bylaws Amendment .
 
During the uncertain times, we have tried to create a safe/comfortable environment for our members to elect our new Board and approve/disapprove the recommended Bylaw change.  You will be able to vote on each item independently. 

If you paid your dues (either electronically or in person) by February 24, 2020, you are eligible to vote for the 2020-2022 Board of Directors Members and on the Proposed Bylaws Amendment.  Because the candidates for the open Board Positions are unopposed this will be a vote by affirmation.   

VOTING OPTINGS (Only ONE allowed)
For both options, you will be asked to provide your First Name, Last Name, DHNA qualifying Address, and email address (Please note that per the Bylaws, you must have paid your dues by February 24, 2020 to be eligible to vote).

A. ELECTRONICALLY

    (Remember to hit DONE when you have completed your ballot. 
  2. Within 24-hours you will receive an email from DHNA confirming that your ballot has been received and that your vote is verified.) NOTE-You will not be eligible to vote IN PERSON if you choose this option.)
  3. Deadline to vote electronically is SUNDAY, September 20, 2020 at Noon (12:00 PM).   
B. IN PERSON (DRIVE-UP)
  1. In person time: September 21, 2020 from 6PM – 7 PM
  2. Location: St. Paul United Methodist Church Parking Lot, 508 N. Center.
  3. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD & BRING YOUR BALLOT!  Please have your ballot printed and completed.  (If you do not have access to a printer, you will be handed a ballot.)

ELECTIONS: VOTE BY AFFIRMATION
  • PRESIDENT – Elena Martinez (Unopposed)
  • SECRETARY – No Candidates
  • FINANCIAL SECRETARY – Donalda (Dee) Smith (Unopposed)
  • OPEN BOARD POSITION  – No candidate
PROPOSED BYLAWS AMENDMENT - As a presented in the last physical meeting, we are submitting a Bylaws Amendment Process to be added to the Bylaws.  

These articles may be amended by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the members present at any general meeting, provided the proposed amendment was presented to the membership at a previous general meeting. Any member can submit a proposed amendment in writing to the board for consideration. The board will review and evaluate the proposal before presenting it to the membership, with explanations and recommendations.
