These are very stressful times for many. I am sure that I do not have to tell you all of the reasons why people are more stressed now more than ever. Now don't get me wrong, I realize that stress is important. It is our stress response system which alerts us when we need to avoid something dangerous or be on guard for impending harm to ourselves or others around us. Stress is essential for survival. Yet, in our modern world, especially with the current turmoil and uncertainty, we often stay in a stressed state far too long and turn on this system far too often for our human needs for survival. Then we struggle to find relief when we feel imbalanced.  It is then when stress becomes so dangerous. It affects our digestion, our ability to sleep and recover, and our ability to focus and think clearly. We get caught in this endless cycle of overthinking and constant worrying. The more you stress out about the big stuff, the harder it is to handle the smaller daily stresses that are completely unavoidable. Does this sound familiar?

What if I told you there was a scientifically-proven method to reduce your stress, increase your resiliency, and improve your physiology?

What is coherence and Heart Rate Variability?


Coherence is a state of being where your heart is sending powerful physiological signals to your brain and throughout your entire body. It's telling your brain that you are happy, grateful, or content-- therefore, your body can relax, focus, and perform optimally. We measure coherence by measuring your HRV. HRV is the difference in your heart beats-per-minute from one beat to the next. Our hearts don't beat at the exact same intervals from one beat to the next, even when we're relaxed. There is a variation that happens, which is totally natural. In fact, it's actually better to have a higher variation or HRV. When you train your heart to increase its HRV, you become more resilient to stress. Your heart is more easily able to handle stressful situations as they come up, then calm back down and relax faster once the danger is over. A low HRV has been shown to be a strong predictor of future disease.
