Annual Meeting Scheduled for October 15th, 2020
Hi all,
Please join us for our annual meeting, to be held via Zoom at 7pm on the evening of Thursday, October 15th. Board elections will be held, as well as other club business.
We just finished a very busy autocross season, made weirder by the pandemic. We had more season qualifiers than I have ever seen this year, with 22(!) folks making it to more than half the events. We were happy to have a new event chair cut her teeth on the season finale- Lisa Feltz did a great job running the show her first time out, and our budding new course designer, David Hoisington made use of every bit of available asphalt at ARP. Thanks to everyone that helped out. We hope to expand the pool of available volunteers- we always need more event chairs, course designers, safety stewards, and timing and scoring wizards.
Rallycross season is just starting, with VJ Maisonet creating an ambitious 7 event mini season that will end just before Christmas. Come on out and try your hand at going sideways in the gravel and snow! More Rallycross Safety Steward trainings may be available- stay tuned! Our next event is scheduled for Saturday, October 10th- see you there.
In addition to our Rallycross and Autocross programs, there are rumblings about a road rally in the works! As many of you know, it has been a while since we have had a regular road rally schedule, and it would be great if we could cater to Alaska's road rally community. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for more info!
