Nearly half way there!

Over 150 churches have now responded to the request to complete the PCR2 safeguarding review and return the signed declaration. Thank you.  If any parish would like assistance to complete this work please email: PCR2@chichester.anglican.org and please also send any completed forms to this address.

We are delighted Bishop Ruth and Bishop Will's messages to the Diocese have been so well received and seen by over 4,603 people! Prayers for our 16 new ordinands in training
This autumn, The Diocese of Chichester is delighted to announce 16 people, from parishes across the diocese, have started ordination training at theological colleges across the country.

The Revd Dr Keir Shreeves, Diocesan Director for Ordinands, has been responsible for getting them to this stage. He said: “Our team of ADDOs (Assistant Diocesan Directors of Ordinands) have done a tremendous job. We are delighted to have sent 16 new ordinands to theological colleges across the country this autumn and they go with our blessing and our prayers."

Prayer Book Society welcomes new Chairman

Bradley Smith who attends St Mary the Virgin in Barnham, West Sussex, was elected Chairman of the Prayer Book Society this week. 

Bradley, who is also manager of St Olav bookshop in Chichester, said:
‘I am very optimistic about the future. The launch of The 2030 Vision is a very exciting milestone in the life of the PBS.’

Advent Campaign

The Church of England's new Advent theme, to reflect the current Covid context, is 'Comfort and Joy'. With the hope that it will better enable churches and individuals to reflect where the country is and will be by the end of this year. This builds on the success of #FollowTheStar, the theme of the 2018 and 2019 campaigns.

The story of Jesus and Peter - online painting retreat 

This painting retreat starts on October 14th with an introductory day on Wednesday 7th October. It's delivered on Zoom by Revd Jess Aidley, from Shoreham, Church of the Good Shepherd. 

Based on the story of Jesus and Peter walking on the water, it will run one day a week for six weeks.
