The Alameda County Public Health Department has released a statement that it will allow the following additional activities to open with restrictions as allowed by the State for counties in the Red Tier beginning Friday, October 9. See PRESS RELEASE.
The Pleasanton Library will remain CLOSED until the City can ensure every system is in place to protect our patrons. The City of Pleasanton Library and Recreation Department will announce a reopening date when this determination has been made. Playgrounds in Alameda County will remain closed. Beginning October 13, elementary schools that complete a COVID-19 health and safety reopening plan may reopen if ready.
Businesses should refer to the County's Guidance and Resources to support safe opening. As COVID-19 still poses substantial risk to Alameda County residents and workers, the updates to the Health Officer Order represent a phased approach to opening to avoid dramatic increases in disease transmission and re-closures.
