CPF Board Election - VOTING OPEN!
Voting in the 2020 CPF Board Election is now open. This year, there are (2) Community-based Board seats on the ballot and (5) nominees, of which members are asked to make 2 selections. 

The nominees are:

COVID-19 Resources
The CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) met on Sept. 22 to discuss the development status of the COVID-19 vaccine candidates and the priority groups who will receive the vaccine first. View the slides from the meeting at the link:
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Department of Defense (DOD) released two documents on Sept. 16 outlining for state, tribal, territorial, and local public health programs and partners how to plan and implement a strategy to deliver the COVID-19 vaccine. 
The AAP is providing updated clinical guidance that is regularly reviewed with regards to the evolving nature of the pandemic. 
The Tennessee Department of Health is tracking a number of school-related measures and providing resources to help guide the return to school for childern:

Dr. Jim Phillips, Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology at VUMC, and Dr. Alexandra Borst, Assistant Professor in Pediatric Hematology-Oncolocy at VUMC, will be delivering a presentation for hospital and community-based pediatricians on Vascular Anomalies.

Dr. English Flack, Assistant Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at VUMC, and Dr. Ashley Karpinos, Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Sports Medicine at VUMC, presented earlier this month on the return to youth sports, including updates on the impact of COVID-19 on the heart and new screening recommendations for returning to play post-infection.

TN Healthcare Symposium - Nov 10-12
The 2020 Tennessee Healthcare Symposium is a collaborative event between the Tennessee Medical Association (TMA) and major insurance carriers to help practice managers, coders, billers, auditors, and other medical office staff focus on efficiency and financial success.

This year, the Symposium will be virtual with full remote access, more than 20 unique educational sessions, and up to 17.5 CEU and CME credits for full participation.

Cost: $99 for TMA members, $149 for non-members
