+ Milton Friedman in the 21st century: on the 50th anniversary of the publication of Friedman's influential essay: The social responsibility of business is to increase its profits, 22 business leaders and economists, writing in the New York Times, mostly agreed business has learned ‘better and more holistic ways’ to serve shareholders. However, commentators argue fundamental reform is still needed.
