We’re officially open and glad to welcome visitors back to Los Vaqueros. Thank you to CalFire and all the firefighters who saved the watershed! Although some of the South side of the watershed did burn, we did not lose any structures, and there was no damage to the reservoir.

Burn Area Closed
Even with clean up and remediation, there is an area on the South side that remains closed due to fire damage. Signs are visible around the burn area to remind visitors not to enter the area for your safety.
Partial Gravel Road
Along Los Vaqueros Road near the South side entrance, there is a partial gravel road due to recent construction.

Current Hours in October
Our hours change with the seasons to make sure visitors have enough daylight during their visits. October hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM; boats due in at 4:00 PM.
Air Quality
During wildfire season, air quality can vary from day to day. Before heading to the watershed, we recommend checking the current air quality to determine when outdoor recreation is advisable.

COVID-19 Safety
Help us keep Los Vaqueros safe by cooperating with the statewide social distancing requirements and watershed rules. Please do the following to protect yourselves, other watershed visitors, and watershed staff during COVID-19 pandemic.
- Masks are required in public areas like the Marina
- Observe 6’ social distancing from other visitors and watershed staff
- Frequently wash/sanitize hands
