Family focused Halloween event that will challenge kids of all ages to a spooky, slightly scary adventure running course.  SOGO courses will be available with fun halloween challenges thrown in the cauldron too. Little kids can run in the afternoon and older kids can run at dusk for a slightly spookier adventure.  If your kids like the SOGO stations they will love this Run. Spread your love of SOGO by inviting a friend! Due to the pandemic, this season we will not be hosting a dinner event, however we will have a few goodies and/or toys to hand out.

Western Canadian Orienteering Championships 2021 Update

Organizers for WCOC 2021 have been hard at work.  Karen M has been in communication with Parks and other government officials to help ensure next year's events go smoothly.  Teresa W and Marsha F  and their controllers, Charlotte M and Robert G, have been out on the map finding the best control site locations!  The best news? - Don B has finished the map!  We're hoping COVID 19 is safely under control, if not behind us, by next summer!  It will be so cool if we can orienteer again in the forest.

COVID 19:
The hardest thing we have ever had to navigate!

Thank you to the Foothills Wanderers Orienteering Club and our amazing volunteers for the GPS courses when we couldn't gather and in-person socially distant events once we could restart SI events.

Thank you to the SOGO staff and volunteers for keeping our young orienteers engaged and active throughout the quarantine and beyond.

Thank you to the AOA (and especially Bogi G) for organizing Try It Events and motivating newcomers and new members! to get out there and orienteer!
