Tomorrow, Sunday, October 4th, we will launch our annual Pledge Campaign. We invite you to join us, or if you cannot, please watch this special video message from The Rev. Heather Mueller.
Sunday, October 4
Join us for our annual Pet Blessing on Sunday. We will honor our love of animals by blessing all our pets during the church service. Please bring your four-legged friends (or a photo) to church at 9am. It will be a happy time as we give thanks for our companions who give us so much love. Please be in control of your friend by leash or carrier.
Trinity Treasures
Did you know that Trinity Treasures has a Facebook page? This is what our logos look like - since there are a few other Trinity Treasures on Facebook around the world.  If any of you could please "like" and "follow" our Trinity Treasures on Facebook and also "share" Trinity Treasures page on your own page, it will actually help to promote our little Outreach/Fundraiser in Kihei! Trinity Treasures is not only bringing in money for the church but it provides Outreach to people who need help in this time of financial instability!

Notes from the Bishop's Committee
  • Stewardship letters and Pledge Cards have been snail mailed. If you have not received yours, please contact our Administrator, Mark McDill, in the Church Office to request one.
  • If you wish to have the name(s) of departed loved ones remembered for All Souls' Day and listed in the All Saints' Day service bulletin on November 1st, please follow the instructions below.
  • A heartfelt MAHALO to all those who donated to last month's Food Drive at Trinity! Three family units were recipients of the donations in addition to items given to A Cup of Cold Water.
  • Trees are wonderful things - but many of those on our property are rotting and creating the potential for some dangerous situations. Scott Zipf is having an overall assessment and bid done in order to prepare for the future. Tree trimming is very expensive and it's better to be informed and ready before disaster strikes (as it has already done in the past!).

BIG News!

Trinity By-the-Sea will soon be live-streaming our Sunday Morning Holy Eucharist on-line! Advice has been procured, a camera has been purchased, and tech help is promised! Thanks be to God - Alleluia! Stay tuned for more information!

Diocesan Convention

The Episcopal Diocese of Hawaii will hold its Annual Convention virtually this month - on October 24th. Our delegates are Lisa Garcia-Kartchner, Kandice Kartchner, Bill Wood, and Cheryl Hopper. Please pray for our Diocese, our Church, and our Delegates:
O God, by your grace you have called us in this Diocese to a goodly fellowship of faith. Bless our Bishop and clergy and all our people. Grant that your Word may be truly preached and truly heard, your Sacraments faithfully administered and faithfully received. Be present at Convention for the renewal and mission of your Church. Teach us in all things to seek first your honor and glory. Guide us to perceive what is right and grant us both the courage to pursue it and the grace to accomplish it; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
ALL  SOULS’  DAY

Submit loved ones you'd like to remember on All Souls' Day by completing a form available at the Sunday Service during that last 3 weeks of October
or

O Almighty God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, who by a voice from heaven proclaimed, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord: Multiply, we beseech you, to those who rest in Jesus the great blessings of your love, that the good work which you began in them may be made perfect unto the day of Jesus Christ. And in your great mercy, O Heavenly Father, grant that we, who now serve you on earth, may at last, together with them, be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Remember at the Altar:

Web Resources
  • You have all heard, time and again, that news and pictures of Trinity by the Sea can be accessed on our website as well as on FaceBook. Whether you are a local full-timer, one of our snow angels here for a few weeks or months, or a first-time visitor, we are delighted when you "check us out"!
  • A new website has also recently been created - mauiepiscopal.church - that has information about all four of Maui's Episcopal Churches. The next time you are on your computer you might like to" take a peek"!
  • And finally, there have been questions about the availability of past Newsletters - from folks who want to the "Know Thy Neighbors" who have been featured in previous columns. Yes, they're still there!
          Go to trinitybts.org

  • Feedback Invited and Welcomed! Whether you live on Maui or on the mainland (or even in another country!), if you are receiving this Newsletter, we would love to hear  from you: opinions, suggestions, constructive criticism, brand new ideas. You have worshiped with us in our unique historical Sanctuary and we consider you ohana! Our challenges of being a small outdoor church are many and sometimes a newcomer sees things that the regulars may miss or has ideas that we have not thought of. Let us know! Just reply to this email with your input. Mahalo!
