Unfortunately, once again members of our church family are receiving emails that claim to be from Pastor Matt but are not. Typically the from line on these emails includes Pastor Matt's name and an email address disguised to look like the real thing. They often ask for a response and then in a second email ask that money be sent in the form of a gift card or funds transfer.
Such a request is false. Pastor Matt will not make direct requests for assistance to members by email. He will not request for transfers of funds via gift cards. If you are ever in doubt about an email request that involves transfer of funds, telephone Pastor Matt (703-819-0687) for clarification.
