Dear partner in Christ,

In 9 days lives will be changed – that’s how many days remain until the LLEM Fall Harvest "Raise the Roof" event to support the LLEM Basic School in Asa, Nigeria begins. 

The board and staff of LLEM International is very excited to be in a position to raise the roof for this poverty-stricken school. We've set an ambitious $10,000 fundraising goal and we hope you will join us on October 11 at 6 PM Eastern time for a virtual fundraising event designed to change and impact lives.

Raise the Roof will do so many extraordinary  things to improve the LLEM Basic School.

1. It will provide a new roof just before the upcoming rainy season. A new roof will keep students dry and protected from the blistering Nigerian sun, providing a much better learning environment for all students.

2. The fundraiser will provide students with new educational materials including books, challenging puzzles and games. It will also pay for new school supplies including chalkboards and notebooks. These new educational materials will build students’ literacy skills and make learning more enjoyable for all.

The children who reside in Asa, Nigeria scrape by, often lacking food and hygiene essentials. On October 11, you'll get the opportunity to see a video of the students, the school, and teachers, and other adults who are passionate about changing lives. Save the Date: October 11, 6 PM via ZOOM.
