Hi <<First Name>>,

Welcome to the September highlights!

I hope you had a relaxing summer (if you live in the northern hemisphere) and, everywhere you are, got the chance to recharge a bit. Of course if it was harvest time for you, I hope the harvest was good and full of nutrients! :)

We had a great month, our Video Course: Investing in Regenerative Agriculture and Food continues to spread and many more people have signed up and are participating!

We also published 3 interviews, and launched a new series: Soil Builders where we check in with past guests on how their companies are developing and we introduce new companies who are enabling the regeneration of soil at scale! Please let us know your feedback!

Thanks for listening, sharing and getting involved,
Koen

Busting the single family farm myth and why indigenous collectives are the way to go
Interview with Chris Newman, Sylvanaqua Farms

Topic: In this interview we go deep into the issues of single family farms and the potential of collectives definitely including Indigenous farmers to manage whole landscapes way more effectively to produce more food and wealth. We discussed also why indigenous peoples should receive most of the investments in regen ag.

My thoughts:
I need to have a lot more discussions like this on why a single family farm doesn't make any sense and larger collectives managing the land do. And about the role of indigenous farmers and the huge role racism and discrimination play in our current food system and unfortunately also in regen ag. Please let us know what you think!

Why robotics are key to scale regen ag without chemicals
Interview with Clint Brauer, Greenfield Robotics

Topic: A conversation about the key role robotics are going to play in the next 20 years on scaling regenerative agriculture across millions of acres. It is relatively early, but the first signs are promising. We just might be witnessing the start of a robotics revolution in agriculture, helping farmers to grow their soils faster.

My thoughts:

Long term off take agreements are more important than transition finance for farmers
Conversation with Benedikt Bösel, Gut&Bösel

Topic: In the final episode of Transition Finance, Koen van Seijen with co-host and partner-in-crime Benedikt Bösel look back on the past eight months and concludes the lessons discussed in previous episodes Transition Finance for Farmers series.

My thoughts:
Transition finance isn’t the most important thing for farmers to speed up the transition and increase the regenerative practices they use.
