👩‍🎓 The launch of our e-learning platform made some headlines

After we announced the launch of our neon academy in our last newsletter, we're happy to share with you that we received some positive recognition for it right off the bat.

Among others, neon's founders Misch Strotz and Karim Youssef got the chance to talk to industry-specific media outlets like adada.lu (in French) and Silicon Luxembourg (in English), explaining what our new e-learning platform is all about.

If you haven't done so yet, make sure to sign up for our first courses based on real-life experience and earn a certificate in social media marketing.

🤦‍♂️ The TikTok saga continues

No other social media company has been in the news as often as TikTok has in the last few weeks and months. Ever since the government of the United States threatened to ban the popular app, it has been a true rollercoaster ride for TikTok and its users. Up until now, it is not clear what the pending deal to ensure its US business will finally look like. If you want to understand the latest developments, TechCrunch, CNBC, and The Washington Post have more.

🎥 Instagram Reels are now double the length and easier to edit

While TikTok is busy trying to figure out what the future will hold, Instagram made some major updates to its look-alike feature Reels. If you are a brand or creator leveraging short videos already, find out more.

🙌 Facebook removes the 20% text limit on ad images

Instagram was not the only platform within Mark Zuckerberg's social media empire that got an update. Facebook also had some great news for brands and creators alike: Finally, there is no more text limit on ad images. Having not been the biggest fan of this limiting rule, we could not be happier about this.

🚀 LinkedIn launches Stories and video call integrations

LinkedIn also took a big step forward by redesigning its platform and adding several new features. Most notably, it is introducing its own version of Stories, starting in the U.S. and Canada and then expanding globally. On top of that, the platform will start offering integrations with Zoom, BlueJeans, and Microsoft Teams for video chats. Combined with a fresh new UX design, LinkedIn wants to appear 'warmer' to its users. Find out more details in this TechCrunch article.

P.S. On that note, have you checked already how 'warm' you appear according to your LinkedIn Social Selling Index? If not, see for yourself...
