Dear colleague

As you will be aware, Heath Education England (HEE) recently announced that it is now accepting applications to join the Interim Foundation Pharmacist Programme (IFPP).

As an LPC we are trying to quickly establish how many provisional registrants are working across our patch and how many are registered on the programme.

If you have a provisional registrant working in your branch can you please answer the following questions and reply to me at alison@cpcw.org.uk:
  1. Pharmacy ODS Code?
  2. Do you have a provisional registrant?
  3. If yes, are they registered on the IFPP programme?
  4. If No, to help us better understand what the blockers to this are could briefly state the reason why?
  5. The LPC is planning some work to support any provisional registrants working across the LPC footprint, if the registrant is in agreement can you please provide their email address so that we can get in touch with them at a later date.
Additional Information about the Programme:

This new education programme is part of a planned reform of pharmacist education, which has been accelerated to help mitigate the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the 2019/20 cohort of pre-registration pharmacists.

Starting in September 2020, the IFPP is a fully funded 12-month programme that aims to give provisionally registered pharmacists the foundation training support they need. It will help to develop pharmacists' ability to achieve high quality outcomes for patients, improve patient safety and reduce medication errors.
