Halloween Trek at the Rec
Join our safe, socially-distanced and family-friendly event on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Stay in your car and enjoy the drive as you meander throughout our spooky parking lot full of tricks and treats for your children. Community partners will be passing out candy to children, along your trail and take home a pumpkin at the end of your visit (while supplies last). Fee is $10 per vehicle.

Halloween Decorating Contest
Our friends with the North Olmsted Arts Commission is sponsoring a Halloween Decorating Contest. Enter your haunted house or nominate a neighbor to win a $100 Visa gift card and other fun treats. Deadline to enter is October 23. Visit the contest page HERE for details and to enter.
North Olmsted Park Walking Path
This month, walkers and runners will notice a new amenity at North Olmsted Park. With the support of a Community Development Block Grant through Cuyahoga County, the city is installing a walking path that will run along the perimeter of the park. Construction is expected to conclude early in the month, so plan to get out of the house and spend some time enjoying the outdoors this autumn!

Free to all pass members. This class is an information session that will provide the basics of how to use the weight machines and cardio equipment. Registration is required. Sign up at the Recreation Center front desk or online.

Ice Rink
Ice Rink Renovations
Construction is almost complete within our ice rink, as we look to re-open next month. While the configuration of the ice will remain unchanged (main rink and studio rink), many improvements are in store, which will improve the experience for our skaters and spectators alike:
  • Replacement of the sand floor system, dasher boards, rink glass, doors and player boxes.
  • Installation of a new fixed storefront glass wall system to separate the rink area from the warming area.
  • Renovation of the warming area and reconfiguration of the concession area.
