In collaboration with the Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) and the City of Gatineau, we increased and improved the offer in the sector! In total, Communauto stations went from 16 to 25, and the number of available cars increased by 40% (9 new vehicles). Read the press release.

Bilingual voice messages in vehicles
A new exciting feature: your vehicle will soon “speak to you” in French or English! Until this update is done on all vehicles, make sure you have selected the correct language in your preferences. To do this, go to your online account by clicking on My account (the choice of language is not yet available in the app): select + Preferences, then "Language".
Since the default setting is French, let us know if a vehicle is addressing you in English, after checking that you have correctly selected "French" in your preferences.
If your preference is set for English, and the vehicle is addressing you in French, it may simply be that this vehicle has not been updated yet. Wait until you have been notified that all vehicles have been updated before reporting that one or more vehicles persist in speaking to you in French.

New features in the app
When you end a trip with a station-based vehicle and you have used your Opus card or your RFID key rather than the app to start your trip, you now have the option of releasing the vehicle directly via the options displayed in the reservation banner. It is therefore no longer necessary to go through "My trips" to release it. Learn more.

Other new features in the app if you use FLEX cars in Quebec or Montreal
- You can now easily locate a previously used FLEX if you think you've left something behind. Just find the vehicle in My trips and click on Locate car.
- The time elapsed since the start of a FLEX trip is now displayed and can be viewed at any time while you are using the vehicle.
- In addition, if you use a FLEX in Montreal, it is now possible to release your vehicle at a parking meter downtown, under certain conditions. Learn more.

Tips and tricks
Refuel with the credit card at most gas stations
You can refuel easily and quickly using the credit card provided in the vehicles. As a reminder: you can only fill at the pump with this card. It can be used at most gas stations in Canada. See our FAQ to learn how to activate it.
Keep the key!
More and more vehicles are equipped with a push-button start. When this is the case, be sure to remove the vehicle key from its holder and keep it with you at all times during your trip to prevent the automatic locking mechanism from engaging before the end of your trip. At all times, your vehicle will automatically lock after three minutes as soon as you close the doors if you have left the key in its holder in the glove compartment.
